My name is Dawn Cole and I am one of the newly elected Co-Secretary’s for the HVL. This is my first year on the HVL board but I have been an active participant in the HVL for several years. I work as a plumbing estimator for a small company in Troy where I have been for over 20 years. During my “free” time I volunteer at Havel weekly to assist my children’s teachers with whatever they need.

I have 2 amazing children that attend Havel Elementary. Kaitlyn is in the 6th grade and fills her time with Math Olympiad, Safety Squad and she is also part of the NEHS. Outside of school, she plays softball.  My son, Nathan , is in 3rd grade. He loves school and is also involved in the Cub Scouts, which my husband is the Cubmaster, as well as the Den leader for Nathan’s age group. I help my husband and others in our pack to plan events, campouts, and community projects.

While our free time is limited, I feel volunteering for the HVL not only helps our school and our teachers, but most importantly the kids of Havel Elementary. When time permits, my family and I enjoy spending time together with activities like camping, shopping, bike riding and experiencing new and exciting adventures!

I look forward to an amazing 2018-2019 school year, and I hope to meet you at either a meeting or fun HVL event!
